The challenge

Tortilla wanted to understand more about their guests dietary preferences so that they could provide more tailored communications using the Airship platform going forward.

The solution

WS implemented a ‘Micro-Survey’ that appears as part of the Wi-Fi login journey, often used by our clients to gather useful additional market research/preference information rather than feedback on service.

Tortilla decide to ask for their dietary preferences:

  ‘I eat anything’

  ‘Vegetarian’

  ‘Vegan’

  ‘Flexitarian’

All the response data was sent directly to Airship using our integration, updating the guest's profile with their dietary preference.

Results

A huge 92% of guests using the Wi-Fi responded with their answers.

It’s completely changed their marketing approach.

Now, they can communicate directly and specifically with groups, meaning when Tortilla launches a new menu, product, dish or promotion - they are ready to fire out personalised communications to the relevant group.
